Making it with Meslyn

I'm back again, i have just found a new challenge blog

the challenge this fortnight is Girly and i have just finished making this card using one of Mo Manning's images which i totally adore, i made the flower by using lots of circles punched from normal cheap copier paper and scrunched and inked it then just put a brad in the middle to hold it all then i added lots of stickles but it doesn't show up very well in the pic.
Thanks for looking Shell x

Sarah Hurley challenge 1

Evening guys, i have been so bad this post should have been on here on Monday but i have been sooo busy with card orders but they are all done now. pop over to the Sarah Hurley challenge blog and take part in our first challenge it's a colour combo,,Petrol blue, Steel grey and olive/sagey green.

I haven't got these colours yet so i just used the nearest to them out of my pro markers, i did realy stuggle with this one i must be honest , but i think it turned out ok. I printed some of the cute owl digi stamps off the woodland whimsies cd and coloured them with pro markers. I tryed out deb's tip of using the blender pen to take some of the colour out to give the effect of feathers on the owls (Thanks deb's x)

The backing papers you can just about see are also on the cd.

I'll be back in a while with my winners from the blog hop.

Onto today's project i decided to make a matchin candle to go with the card i made for yesterday's post. I wanted to show that you can also use digi stamps for this an not just rubber stamps. I just printed the deer out in draft then added some very thin dst to the card attached the tissue paper and ran it back through the printer again this time changing the printer settings to text and viola you have a perfect image on your tissue coloured it with pro markers and of course the ribbons have been done that way too.

Dont forget to spread the word on your blogs.
I'll be back later with my challenge card have a great Sunday Shell x

Onto this weeks challenge card it's a theme this week and it's distressing, ooohhh I'm getting to love this technique i don't have a distressing tool yet an just use my small scissors but i think it works just as well....

I have used the gorjuss daisy stamp from Sugar Nellie again and used shades of blue to colour her with, the background is distress inks in faded denim, flowers from wild orchid crafts
